Nov 5th, 2006 - We left for the airport at around 5:30. The cab ride took us about 20 minutes. Once we reached the airport, we realized that the flight time had changed to an hour earlier. Luckily we had plenty of time. We went through immigration, went throughsecurity check and boarded the flight. The person who was boarding the flight did a poor job of it and did not pre-board families who had babies. Anyway, I had a  special seat once again with the  bassinet. Once the flight took off, I promptly fell asleep. The flight was fairly smooth but I had some pain in my ears when the flight descended into Bangalore.

The Bangalore airport was completely chaotic. My parents were one of the first to get off the plane but ended up last in line. The Bangalore airport is certainly not baby-friendly.  After we got past immigration, we went to baggage claim and there was more chaos there with no place to move. With some luck, my father managed to get all the bags and we came out of the airport. Beware of the porters in the airport, they will help you collect the  luggage and later demand a lot of money from you. If you do decide to have a porter, negotiate a price first.

Once we came out of the airport, Siddhu Maam and Prem Mhanta were there to pick us
up. Having them around was very helpful as we were able to make a quick exit from the
airport. My Siddhu Maam has very long hair now. It really looks nice on him. We then
reached my grandmother's home where she welcomed me into the house in the traditional Hindu way with Haldi and Kumkum water.
