Spiderman and me at Universal Studios Hollywood

20th May 2006 - Saturday morning, we all went to Universal Studios in Hollywood. Universal Studios Hollywood is a theme park in Los Angeles where the rides, shows and other events are based on movies made by the Universal Studios company. The park is about 30 minutes away from where we live and my father made two trips to get everyone there. It was very crowded and there were lots of people there.

Once we got there, we took the Universal Studio Tour which is basically a 45 minute trolley ride through the studio backlot. If you are a movie fan, this is truly a fun ride.

We got to see the following things during the ride

Jaws
Set of War of the Worlds
Wisteria Lane - Set of the hit TV show "Desperate Housewives"
King Kong
Experienced an earthquake on a set.
Saw the generic sets for Modern day Cities
Back to the Future
The Mummy

and much much more.....

The rest of the day we spent seeing some of the other attractions like Jurrasic Park, Shrek 4D, WaterWorld etc. It was fun I suppose.

Finally at the end of the day, I got to meet Spiderman. My parents asked him for a photograph and he obliged. It was the most thrilling moment of the day (probably my life, heck its been only 3 months). I should consider myself lucky. Maybe I am the youngest person to ever meet Spiderman.....

Earlier that day, my cousins and I met Captain America, but I was not too thrilled as you can see.
