SpellBound - National Spelling Bee 2006 Winner

June 2nd, 2006 -  The winner in the 2006 Bee was 13-year-old Kerry Close from New Jersey, winning with the word, Ursprache.  She is the first girl to win the competition since 1999. This has been a contest thats been domindated by Indian Americans and there were four in the final thirteen, which is still a great achievement.  The profiles of the the Indian Americans is below
