Image30th June 2006 - Today my parents applied for my US  passport. I get a US citizenship because I was born in this country. Applying for a passport is very easy here. Unlike India, where applicants have to go to the Passport Office, we go to the Post Office and submit the application. The process is very simple. All that is needed is an application form, my birth certificate, 2 passport photos and the application fee. The normal process to get a passport is about 6-8 weeks but you can pay $60 more an get it delivered in 18 days.

We initially went to the Mar Vista Post Office but the lady was out for her 1-hour lunch, so we went to the Culver City Post Office and submitted the application there. I should have my passport by the 15th of July. I entertained the people at the Post Office by letting out a loud burp. Everyone started laughing at me. Laughing

I came home had lunch and took a nap in the afternoon. In the evening, my parents went to the Babies 'R Us store in Torrance. They went there to get diapers, wipes and other things for me. They like going there as they get everything I need under one roof. I had my dinner in the "Mother's Room" at the store. We went to "Red Lobster" for dinner after that. I was relatively quiet for the most part but towards the end of the dinner I got a little restless. On the way back, my mom drove us back home. It was a nice exciting day for me as I got to spend a lot of time outside the house.
