Lets the Games Begin

8th June-2006 -  Its going to be an exciting time for sports fans around the world (not here in the US) as the World Cup "Football" tournament begins in Germany tomorrow. The preliminary rounds start tomorrow and the finals will be on Sunday July 9th  in Berlin. Typically, the rest of the world is on holiday during the World Cup season.  My father is all excited about the event and plans to wake up each morning to see the games. He refers to me as the alarm clock. I have to make sure I wake up at 6 everyday now.

Well, the NBA Finals between Miami and Dallas also commenced today. Dallas won Game 1. I watched the game for a while but then I fell asleep by the end of the game.  Lets hope Game 2 on Sunday is more exciting.
