July 2nd, 2006 - Los Angeles, the city of Malls, malls and more malls. People here love to shop and there are some really big malls here. The South Coast Plaza is definitely one of the biggest here in Southern California. The mall is really huge and 1 day is not enough to look at the stores.  We reached the mall at around 11 AM. It was my lunch time and I had my 6 oz of milk and was energized for the rest of the day.

We spent the morning going to the different stores like Gap, Gap Baby, Gymboree, Banana Republic, Sears. My parents had lunch at a new restaurant Z Tejas. This is the first time, they went to that restaurant and they liked the food and the service. After lunch we browsed around the mall. There is a section of the mall that has all the high end designer stuff like Cartier, YSL, Tiffanys etc. If you like that kind of stuff, its probably the place for you.

Anyone planning to stay there should book a hotel around the Plaza. I happened to see the Westin South Coast Plaza right opposite the mall.

My parents then went to Crate and Barrel and bought somethings for the home. We came back home at around 6. Overall, its a nice mall but seemed to be expensive. Even the regular things seemed to be priced higher than other malls. Overall, it was a fun day.
