Melissa and Dougs Play Money Set

Nov 11, 2009 -My parents have bought quite a lot of the Melissa and Doug toys for me ever since I was very small. One of my favorite toys was the Melissa and Doug's farm puzzle. I have started to recognize American coins and also the names of the presidents on the dollar bills so my dad thought this would be a good toys for me (boy was he wrong). The box contains many 1/2 dollars, quarters, dimes, nickels and pennys and also comes with over a 100 different dollar bills.

I had a great time making a mess all over the home as you can see from the pictures. I think this toy will slowly make its way into some cupboard, For those of you who do not know the US presidents, they are

  • 1 dollar - Washington
  • 5 dollars - Lincoln
  • 10 dollars - Hamilton
  • 20 dollars - Jackson
  • 50 dollars - Grant
  • 100 dollars - Franklin

 Fun at Home

Nov 11, 2009 - Its been a few days since I am back from Des Moines and I am having fun being back in my own "adda" and playing with my toys. I like to play with all my toys and spend my day with the activity books, puzzles, cards and my all time favorite cars. When I return from school, I have my lunch and then Amma and I play with my toys for a while before I take a short nap. Once I wake up, I play with my toys again and once in a while, I watch a little bit of TV. My favorite shows are Caillou, Word World and Super Why.

If daddy comes early then he plays with me as well. You may have noticed the change of clothes, its starting to get a little cold so you will see me wearing winter clothes for the next few months.

 Turkey Decoration

November 10, 2009 - Thanksgiving is coming in a couple of weeks and as part of the preparation for Thanksgiving, our teachers gave us homework to decorate a picture of a turkey so that they could put it up in school. My mom and dad were supposed to help with the decoration but I was supposed to to the work. My parents got some crayons, stickers and some glitter glue so that we could decorate it well. I started by coloring the tail of the turkey with Red, orange and yellow color and then colored the body of the turkey with brown. After that we put red and gold glitter all over the  picture to give it a nice shiny look. I was happy with how it turned out.

The other kids in my school did similar things, with some kids putting beads, leaves and feathers.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!

Back to Dallas

 Back to Dallas

Nov 11, 2009 - For the last two weeks, I was in De Moines at my cousin Ayush's house. I had gone there for my Mamamma's 60th birthday celebrations and also to see baby Annika. Its was time to head back to Dallas again. We took an American Airlines flight from Des Moines and it flew straight to Dallas so we were back in less than two hours. My Amma has kept some food and other activity books with her to keep me busy in the plane and we made it without any incidents. Dad was waiting for us at the airport and I was excited to see him. We went home and dad had brought one of my favorite thing, Cajun Pasta from Razzoos.

It was a fun trip but there's no place like home.

I am also excited to return to school tomorrow.
