Bowling

June 27th,  2008 - My parents are not sure where I got this sudden urge to start bowling but one morning I kept saying bowling, bowling, bowling. My parents figured that I must have seen something on the television and developed an interest. A rolling ball, pins falling, noise....why would that not interest me?

My parents went to the toy store and got me a plastic set of 9 pins and 2 bowling balls. I saw it in the store and wanted it opened right there but somehow they managed to pull me out of the store. You can see me in action in the images below. I look like a pro.

My new Motorcycle

June 22nd,  2008 - My parents wanted to buy a cycle for me because I show so much interest in cars and bikes. We went to the store yesterday morning and my parents immediately liked the Fisher-Price motorcycle. It had all these buttons and lights that make sound and my parents felt I would like it. It had buttons to indicate a left turn, a right turn. It makes sounds like the engine starting up, horn. Its pretty cool.

My dad brought decided to fix the bike this morning and as usual I had to poke my nose in there. I was so excited that I was trying to it on the bike even before it was put together. My father finally assembled the bike despite me being in the way. I sat on it for parts of the day and moved it forward by my foot. My dad is trying to get me to pedal but I am not able to figure that out yet. So far, I really like this bike. This was a birthday gift from my Ajja and Mamamma so thanks to them.

Leapfrogs Letter Factory

June 19th,  2008 - Since I started showing some interest in learing alphabets, my parents have bought me toys, books and puzzles that have alphabets in it. I have alphabets books, alphabets cards and wooden alphabets puzzles. My mother found this nice DVD from Leapfrog (they love Leapfrog's products) called the Letter Factory. She bought it because it came with high recommendations.

Its really a great DVD. The DVD is a story about a little boy who goes to a letter factory where letters are trained to say their sound. The boy goes from one alphabet room to another and learns how each letter sounds like B goes Buuhhh, or M goes Mmmmm. Since the letters made silly sounds, I had a wonderful time making those silly sounds myself. I had so much fun that I watched this DVD at least 6 times that day. I kept telling her "Letter Lettter Letter"

Happy Fathers Day

E-mail Print PDF

June 15th,  2008 - Happy Father's Day Dad. Today is Father's day and we started the day by going out and getting some donuts. I like donuts a lot and we have a Krispy Kreme store close by. I also gave my dad a nice card as well. Dad and I spent the day together. We went and had lunch at the Corner Bakery and then in the evening dad took me to the Champions Park where we went and played for a while.

At the end of the day, we lost electricity in the house for about 3 hours and it was really hot. Thankfully the lights came on just as it was getting dark. Mom is also getting better.

I had a great Father's day.

Daddy Day Care

June 14th,  2008 - Today is the 2nd day after my mother's teeth extaction and she is still tired and in pain because of it. It means that dad has to take care of me all day. Between ensuring my mother was OK and taking care of me, dad must have had a long day. My dad took me out for a drive and to the park so that my mother could get some rest.

My mother managed to get through the day on soups and mashed potatoes but she is still in a lot of pain. I hope she feels better tomorrow.

Friday the 13th

June 13th,  2008 - Today is Friday the 13th and its a really scary day for my mother. Apparently she has to get 4 of her wisdom teeth pulled out. I really don't know how painful it is but I can imagine it must be very painful. My mother had her procedure every early in the morning. My dad took us to the dentist early. My dad was outside playing with me while my mother was going through her extraction. Once she was done, the dentist allowed us to go and see her. Poor Amma, she looked really tired and in pain. We took her home and for the rest of the day she was sleeping or lying down.

I was a good boy today. I did not cry or scream much. I hope Amma gets better soon. Now I am really worried about Friday the 13th.

Fun at Lunar Golf in Grapevine Mall

E-mail Print PDF

June 6th,  2008 - Ayush anna likes to play golf and my parents wanted to bring him to the Lunar Golf store at the Grapevine Mills Mall last week. We could not go there last week so we came again today. I had no idea if I would like to play golf but my parents got me a set anyway. Lunar Golf is played in the dark and the golf course and other things light up due to the flourescent lighting. Its pretty cool. We also got some cool glow-in-the-dark rings too. This was the first time I tried my hand at golf and I seemed to get a hang of it (at least the part of putting the ball in the hole). I would go right up to the hole and place the ball near the edge and then knock it in with the stick.

It was difficult for my parents to pull us out of the store but they pulled us out despite our protests. We then went to the food court and had dinner followed by some nice ice-cream. What a fun day, started with the zoo, then the train and finally some golf.

Choo Choo train in Grapevine Mills Mall

June 6th,  2008 - Last week we came to the Grapevine Mills Mall and we had so much fun at the Choo Choo train store that my parents decided to bring Ayush anna and me once again to this store. We started off at the play area where you can play with the small Thomas trains and tracks. We had fun for a while before we decided to go to the play-pen and ride the bigger trains and use the slides. After about 30 minutes, we had enough fun and needed some new entertainment and we went to the Lunar Golf store next door.

Fun at Go Bonkers in Lewisville

E-mail Print PDF

June 4th,  2008 - We are new to the Dallas area and my parents saw this place called Go Bonkers as we were driving around. We checked the place on the web and saw that it was a play area for kids. My parents decided to take Ayush anna and me there so that we could expend our energy. Since it was a weekday, it was not very crowded. We paid the entry fee and then our parents sent us to the toddler area. We had a lot of fun there on the slides, we then started throwing the small bags at each other. Its amazing how we toddlers get along when we are upto no good but find it hard to get along when we have to share anything.

We also went to a game area on top where there are games for grownups. We played there for a while as well. We finally came down and had chicken and fries for dinner which was a great way to end the day. I hope my parents bring me here more often.

Hair Cut at Kidoos Lewisville

E-mail Print PDF

June 5th,  2008 - Summer is here and my hair has grown a little too long and so my dad decided to take me for a haircut to Kidoos. We saw this store as it was right opposite Go Bonkers. The store besides being a hair-salon was also also a Stride Rite store and sold some toys and puzzles. For the last few haircuts, I have given my parents a tough time. I have refused to sit alone and eventually my father sits on the chair and I sit on his lap. The lady (read my hair stylist) said that she will try to cut my hair with just me sitting in the chair. At first I resisted a bit but then I don't know what came over me, I decided to co-operate and went through most of my hair cut without much of a tantrum. I feel great with all this hair off my head.
