| Jan 21st, 2008 - We are in Dallas to look for an apartment this week. My parents had decided to look for an apartment in the Irving area as it had an Indian community there. The weather was cold and gloomy so I was all bundled up in warm clothes. We started every morning and visited 6-7 properties every day. I loved go to these apartments as I got the opportunity to run around in an empty house with no gates. My first hamla was on the kitchen. I pulled the oven doors, turned the knobs, opened the fridge door. I think were parents were worried that their application would be rejected because of me. !!! My parents have narrowed it down to 2-3 places. They should choose something soon. |

Jan 20th, 2008 - We are staying at the Aspen Hotel in Irving. They are renovating the hotel so its quite empty and quiet. We have a nice room with a fridge and I like going to the fridge and pulling things out of the fridge. They have a long hallway and I love running down the hallway. I run down the hallway and press the elevator buttons. When I go into the elevator, I tell me dad "Lai" and he presses the button to go down. Once I am down, I say Hello to the Front desk and all the guests who are in the lobby. They give me a smile too. How nice. I had something very nice to eat here, it was the Texas Waffle. It was a waffle in the shape of Texas. Very nice. |

Jan 19th, 2008 - Jan 19th - As you may all know, we are relocating to Dallas sometime at the end of February and we decided to go to Dallas to look for an apartment. My parents were dreading this journey because they knew that its going to be hard to make me sit in one place for the entire duration of the flight. We reached the airport early and my father entertained me by making me run around the airport. I was playing with the payphones and some of the advertising boards. Once we got into the plane, I was in a great mood. I wanted to run around the plane. Luckily for my parents, the flight was empty and I was able to run around the back on the plane. They had also bought a portable DVD player to entertain me and I watched Barney for a little while too. Somehow 3 hours went by and we arrived in Dallas. |
We rented a car and went to our hotel. It was a nice hotel and we had a big bed. There was a fridge and a small space under the kitchen sink. I loved getting in there and sitting there.
It was very cold in Dallas and my parents had to get me nice warm clothes. This trip is going to be a lot of fun.

Jan 17th, 2008 - Today is my mother's birthday and birthdays mean fun at home and we will be getting some cake too. I gave my mother a birthday card and she gave me some "Godi Ummas" for the card. My father also got her a birthday card and some gifts. Since it was her birthday, my father got some Sushi for lunch (my mother likes to eat Sushi). In the evening it was time to cut the cake. My father had got a nice chocolate cake and my mother and I cut the cake together. As usual, I have become a "Haste Sondeel" and had to poke my nose into the cake. The cake was good. What a nice fun day. |

Jan-15-2008 - As I am growing up, I keep observing things and people around me and I try to mimic them. I try to talk on the cell phone, change the channels, drink from a cup among many things. However, the one thing that amuses my parents is watching me get the groceries from the car. We go to the grocery stores and the moment we get out of the car, I insist on carrying something back home. I usually go for the biggest bag, even though my parents pack a small bag for me (you cannot fool me). I somehow struggle to the stairs, bring it up and eventually into the house. I almost never give up. Its fun helping with the household chores. |

Jan 12th, 2008 - My dad found this little park close to where we live and he takes me there every so often so that I can play on the slides and other things there. My favorite thing there is the slide. At first, I was a bit afraid of sitting on it, but after a couple of slides down, I started liking it. There were other kids in the park and they would slide down and we would all go "Whoooo" and "Yeaaaaaaaaa" with me leading the cheer. There were other nice things to do at this park like a sand pit, swings, things to climb on. I like coming here, but my favorite thing to do here is go to the Pepsi vending machine and push the buttons. |
