29th Sep 2007 -  For the last couple of weeks, we had Rockstar Uncle Sidharth staying with us. He found an apartment this week and moved out to his own place this morning. My dad dropped him in the morning. I was nice having him around at home as he would play with me and entertain me. I will certainly miss him.

Good luck with your studies uncle.

I wanna be a Rockstar

Sep 27th, 2007 - I have been having a lot of fun having Sidharth uncle in the house. He talks to me, plays with me. I think I entertain him as much as he entertains me.   I have a lot of fun when he lifts me and spins me around. Uncle has a guitar and he allowed me to hold the guitar. The guitar was bigger than me but I still wanted to hold it and pull the chords. I have seen the guitars on TV so many times but never held on and it felt nice.

Someday in the future.....I wanna be a rockstar too...Nikhil Sixx maybe?? . Don't I look really cool.

Chef Boy-ardee

Image Sep 25th, 2007 - If you have been reading my blog, you may have already realized my love for food, cooking and the Food Network.  Having watched my mother and the chefs cooking, I have started cooking on my own. I use the TV stand as my kitchen counter top and play with bowls, plates and measuring cups. If I manage to lay my hands on some food, I keep tossing it from one bowl to another. Sometimes, this can keep me occupied for a few minutes. My father calls my Chef Boy-ardee. Get it??

Raksha Bandhan

19th Sep, 2007 - Rakhsa Bandhan is a Hindu festival celebrating the relationship between brothers and sisters. The sister ties a Rakhhi to the brother and the brother vows to protect her. I have two cousin sisters, Neha Akka and Anoushka Akka who are both in India and they sent me a Rakhi for Raksha Banhdhan. The Rakhis arrived ny mail today (thanks to some Postal delays) and my mother tied the rakhi's on my hand. Obviously they did not stay on for more than two minutes as I wanted to tear it apart.

Once I grow up, I will take care of my two sisters. Thanks for the Rakhis Akkas. You should have your gift soon.

Masti Masti and more Masti

Sep 17th, 2007 - If you have not realized it by now, most of my time is spent doing Mast, Masti and more Masti. In between  my Masti, I eat, drink and sleep but my prime goal in life at this point is to do masti and figure out how I can get better at it. Hey, at least I have some goals and objectives in life. In the last few weeks, I have learnt to drag chairs and climb on things, turn off the light switches, turn off the television.

Today was another normal day, I made a scene and managed to get hold of the rice bag and spill a bunch of it over the floor.

Sep 15th, 2007 -  Today Sidharth Uncle has come to stay at our home for a few days. He has come from Mumbai to LA to study at the Musician's Institute in Hollywood. He is going to improve his guitar skills and become a ROCKSTAR. He arrived in the afternoon and my parents were trying to keep him awake so that he does not have Jetlag.

Since it was Ganesh Chaturti yesterday, we decided to go to the Malibu Temple. We went to the temple and it was quite crowded. We prayed to all the gods and returned home. Uncle was very tired and went right to sleep. He must be all excited as he will be going to his institute tomorrow.

Sep 14th, 2007 - Today is Ganesh Chaturti, a big Hindu festival in India and a big festival in our family as well. My mother gets very excited about this festival. She had been preparing for it last night. She woke up early and did a Pooja and both Dad and I participated in it. She then made some "God Poha" for breakfast. For the rest of the day, she made some vegetarian "festival food". We called up my grandparents and wished them well too.

Tomorrow we will visit the temple as well. Today is Swapna Akka's birthday too and tomorrow Sidharth uncle will be coming to stay with us for a few days.

Sep 10, 2007 - The 2007 NFL season kicked off on Thursday and the defending champs, the Indianapolis Colts defeated the New Orleans Saints. The rest of the games for week one will be played today. My father was stuck to the couch all morning. He was all excited about watching Randy Moss and Tom Brady  teaming up. He was happy as they combined for 182 yards.

The Sunday for next few months will be spent in front of the TV culminating in the Super Bowl and guess what.....I will be 2 years old then.

Love The Food Network

E-mail Print PDF

Sep 8th, 2007 - Most toddlers my age are watching the Cartoon Network, but I prefer the Food Network. I love to eat and my mother makes nice goodies for me. She likes to watch the Food Network and I love to watch it too. Sometimes when I am upset and crying, the Food Network actually calms me down. Channel 53 is on speed dial. Smile My favorties are Giada, Racheal Ray and Paul Dean.

Gas Lamp Quarter at San Diego

Sep 4th, 2007 - We were planning to go to the San Diego Zoo today but it was too hot and so we decided to walk around downtown San Diego and see some sights there. One of the famous areas near our hotel is the Gas Lamp District. We walked a few blocks there and had lunch at a nice restaurant there. Along the way, we spent some time at one of the malls and visited a few stores.

At the end of the lunch, I did something Tongue out and my parents had to run back to the room to change me. We returned to the room and then drove back home to Los Angeles. It was a nice trip.

Polar Bears at the San Diego Zoo

E-mail Print PDF

Sep 3rd, 2007 - One of the first places my parents took me at Sea World was the Polar Bear exhibit. I had never seen a polar bear in my life (its not like I am 80 years old). Thanks to modern day technology I can see a polar bear in 90 degree heat right here in San Diego. The exhibit was really nice and cold. I waved to them and I think one of them actually came by to say hello to me. I was not scared. They are really cute animals.

Sep 3rd, 2007 - Its Labor Day here in the US and my parents are going to spend the next two days in San Diego. We woke up early and drove to Sea World. It was a nice drive with no traffic and we made it in about 2 hours. Once we got to the park, it was really hot and not much fun but still we enjoyed the day. We saw the following shows

  • Pets Rule
  • Polar Bears
  • Otter and Sea Lion Show
  • Penguins

We could not see Shamu. Maybe next time.
