See my new hairstyle

ImageJan 10th, 2007  - Ever since I was born, I seem to have more hair on the head than the average baby my age. In fact, most people mistake me for a girl. Embarassed According to some Hindu beliefs, I am not supposed to get a haircut until I turn one and so my parents have not cut my pair. Its grown so long now that I have to tie my hair in a pony tail or comb it down with some water. Take a look at some of the pictures.

Up Up and Away

E-mail Print PDF

Jan 8th, 2007 - I have really become active these days and I see more gates cropping up around the house. Tip - invest in stocks of companies that build gates. I seem to be fascinated by the stairs at this moment and I try and climb up the stairs every time I get a chance. My parents noticed this and have promptly  blocked access. However, every night before I go to bed, they allow me to go up the stairs my self (under supervision ofcourse). Click on the play button to see a video.

Tastes of India

Jan 7th, 2007 - Most of my life, I have had only one thing......Milk. Thankfully a few months ago, Dr Woo advised my parents to give me solids and so I graduated to Rice, Oats, Carrots, Squash, Sweet Potatoes, Peas, Beans, AppleSauce and Prunes. My Indian blood finds all that fairly bland and I was probably longing for some food with spice. On my last visit to the doctor, he said I could try some home cookin'. Ever since then, I run to my parents plate when they are having dinner and taste it. I love the tastes of Indian food.  I have tried Rice, Pulao, Khichadi, Dal, Samosa etc.

Today my mother had made a new dish, Naked Fish Fry and the whole house smelt really nice. I was looking forward to tasting the food at night. Since the curry was a little spicy, they did not give me much. Indian food is the best food in my opinion. Cool

Daddy Day Care

Image Jan 6th, 2007 - My mother is the main person who takes care of me and I am sure I have come on her nerves. Today she got a bit of a break from me. She decided to got to the hair-dressers in the afternoon and I got to spend the afternoon with my father. He spent the afternoon watching the NFL game while I crawled around the house trying to destroy something. In the evening we went to the local Fox Hills Mall in Culver City where we shopped a little and returned home.  I love going to the mall and seeing the different people, the lights, the sound......music to my ears.

Life Behind Bars

E-mail Print PDF

Image Jan 4th, 2007  - Now that I have become more mobile, its time for my parents to lock me down and put me behind bars. They have installed gates at home so that I do not go anywhere up or down the stairs.  I guess its in my own interest because I have become very naughty and reach at anything I can get my hands on. Also since we have stairs at home, there is a good danger that I may fall and hurt myself. They are still planning to get more gates. Lets see who wins this game!!!!

Jan 2nd, 2007 - The long weekend is finally over and my faher had to return to work. It feels sad as I had a great time at home with him. I seem to be fascinated by cables, wires and other electronic gadgets at home. My father had left the computer keyboard laying around on the chair and I had a great time with it today. I enjoyed the sweet sound of the keys clicking.

There are plenty of other electronics like headphones, video cables, DVDs, CDs etc that I somehow manage to get my hands on. Sometimes my father gives it to me on purpiose just to keep me quiet.

AlWazir Chicken at Hollywood

Jan 1st, 2007 - Seems like I have developed a passion for food. Everytime my parents eat, I am ready with my mouth open to sample some of the food. My parents decided to go to this little hole-in-the-wall eating place in Holywood called Al Wazir Chicken. Its at the junction  of Hollywood and Gower. My parents stumbled upon this place about 2 years ago when they were in Hollywood. Last year on New Year's Day, my parents had come here with my grandmother too. She really loved the food and so we decided to come back this year too. The restaurant serves Middle Eastern fast food like Falafel, Shawarma, Chicken and Lamb Kababs.

My parents allowed me to taste a little bit of the rice and the Hummus and I really liked the taste a lot. I liked it so much , that I managed to get out of the high-chair and climb on the table (see picture). I was surprised too, but hey the food is really good here. Lets hope my parents go there more often.
