April 29th, 2007 - There are many people in the world who want to watch a Lakers game and Amiya uncle is on of them. He wanted to see a live game and what better game than a play-off game. My father managed to get tickets for all of to go and watch the Lakers play the Suns in Game 4 of the 2007 playoffs. Lucky me, I have no idea but I was excited just to go out.
The game was at 12:30 and so we left a little early. We drove into downtown LA to pick up the tickets and my father got a little lost as there were a lot of street closures that day. We finally managed to get the tickets and reached the Staples Center. It was a major party scene there. I was quiet when the game started but as the Lakers started trailing, I think I got bored and started troubling my father. I took a nap during half-time even though the band was playing right next to me. The rest of the game I was running around. The Lakers lost and should be out of the play-offs. :-(

Univeral Studios Hollywood
April 28th, 2007 - It seems like anytime we have visitors, we make a trip to Universal Studios Hollywood. Everyone knows Hollywood and so its probably the best destination for most adults. Since uncle Amiya was in town, we decided to take him there for the day. We left for Universal by around 9. We got delayed because my father's car had some startup problems. There were long lines to get in, but we managed to get in by around 10 AM. We started off with the Studio tour and midway through the tour, I started crying out loud and there was no way to pacify me. I was hungry and my father left the diaper bag in the stroller. The tour guide said we would have to get off. Luckily a nice lady from India, offered me some Parle G biscuits which calmed me down and we did not get thrown out.
The Studio tour had the sets of War of the Worlds, some cars from Fast and the Furious, the Mummy, Psycho, Desperate Housewives among other things.

In the evening, we will be going to Geek Central.....Fry's Electronics. Should be an exciting weekend. We will be going to Universal Studios tomorrow and to the Lakers-Suns Game 4 on Sunday. I have my Lakers outfit already. Go Kobe!!! |

Fanjaya - No more Sanjaya
April 18th, 2007 - Sanjaya finally got voted off American Idol. My fellow Indian American leaving the show has left a void on Tuesday and Wednesday evening. This year's Idol has been extremely boring and Sanjaya was the only reason my father and I would watch the show. Not to hear him sing, but to see his new hairdo and to see if he would survive another week. Sanjaya, thanks for the memories. It was great fun while it lasted. You were certainly not the best singer but anyone who says you are vocally challenged or could not sign a note do not realize that its the judges and America who brought him this far. Your youngest Fanjaya You did give us something to talk about
First Steps
April 13th, 2007 - The day finally arrived for me to take my first steps, albeit short. My parents have been waiting for me to walk unassisted. It seems like I will and then I plop and sit down. This evening I decided that I will take a few steps. My parents were watching Casino Royale and I took my first 3 steps...left, right, left, right, left and plop again. My parents were ecstatic and even though I don't know what I did, I seemed to be excited too. Maybe it was James Bond that inspired me or maybe it was Friday the 13th......we will never know.
Candyman
Shakira is no longer on my OnDemand Video and so now I have moved onto Christina Aquilera's Candyman. Sweet, Sugar.....Candyman....
Hello
April 12th, 2007 - Hola, Konichiwa, Hello. I have finally learned to say Hello, well not quite. Its a sign of the times that I have been born it. Everyone has multiple phones and means to reach them, emails, pages, Instant Messangers etc. I see my parents pick up the phone and go "Hello" all the time and I have also learnt to pick up the phone and put it against my ears anytime they say Hello to me. I also have my own VTech Phone and my father's cell phone which I have damaged. Call me!

Gymboree in Westwood
April 9, 2007 - Going to Gymboree classes has become a weekly routine for mother and me. The class is a bit early in the morning. My mother drives me to the mall and we attend the class for about an hour. I have a lot of fun there. There are lots of toys such as slides, see-saws, balls and other things. The teacher is very nice, she gives us some time to play alone and for the rest of the time we do some group activities such as singing, making bubbles etc. After the classeses, we sometimes walk around the mall before we head home. I have another 2-3 months worth of classes and I can also come on Friday and play with other kids too.

Spring Cleaning
Apr-8-2007 - Its April, time for Spring Cleaning. My parents decided to pack some of the winter clothings, pack some of the clothes that have become small for me and do a general cleanup of the place. Cleaning means things come out of the closet and I had a lot of fun tossing things around, tearing papers, climbing into boxes. There was no way for them to keep me away from these things and I had a great time. They managed to clear quite a lot of it. More action tomorrow.
Diaper Champ Fun
