Sep 14th, 2007 - Today is Ganesh Chaturti, a big Hindu festival in India and a big festival in our family as well. My mother gets very excited about this festival. She had been preparing for it last night. She woke up early and did a Pooja and both Dad and I participated in it. She then made some "God Poha" for breakfast. For the rest of the day, she made some vegetarian "festival food". We called up my grandparents and wished them well too.
Tomorrow we will visit the temple as well. Today is Swapna Akka's birthday too and tomorrow Sidharth uncle will be coming to stay with us for a few days.

Any Given Sunday
 |
Sep 10, 2007 - The 2007 NFL season kicked off on Thursday and the defending champs, the Indianapolis Colts defeated the New Orleans Saints. The rest of the games for week one will be played today. My father was stuck to the couch all morning. He was all excited about watching Randy Moss and Tom Brady teaming up. He was happy as they combined for 182 yards.
The Sunday for next few months will be spent in front of the TV culminating in the Super Bowl and guess what.....I will be 2 years old then.

Love The Food Network
Sep 8th, 2007 - Most toddlers my age are watching the Cartoon Network, but I prefer the Food Network. I love to eat and my mother makes nice goodies for me. She likes to watch the Food Network and I love to watch it too. Sometimes when I am upset and crying, the Food Network actually calms me down. Channel 53 is on speed dial. My favorties are Giada, Racheal Ray and Paul Dean.
Gas Lamp Quarter at San Diego
 |
Sep 4th, 2007 - We were planning to go to the San Diego Zoo today but it was too hot and so we decided to walk around downtown San Diego and see some sights there. One of the famous areas near our hotel is the Gas Lamp District. We walked a few blocks there and had lunch at a nice restaurant there. Along the way, we spent some time at one of the malls and visited a few stores.
At the end of the lunch, I did something and my parents had to run back to the room to change me. We returned to the room and then drove back home to Los Angeles. It was a nice trip.

Happy Birthday Ajja
 |
Sep 4th, 2007 - Today is my Ajja's, my mother's father, birthday. We are in San Diego but we called him to wish him well in the coming year. He was very excited to hear my voice and my good wishes. He is visiting my cousins Neha and Anoushka in Bangalore. I am sure they are having a lot of fun. Wish I could be there. |
Polar Bears at the San Diego Zoo
Sep 3rd, 2007 - One of the first places my parents took me at Sea World was the Polar Bear exhibit. I had never seen a polar bear in my life (its not like I am 80 years old). Thanks to modern day technology I can see a polar bear in 90 degree heat right here in San Diego. The exhibit was really nice and cold. I waved to them and I think one of them actually came by to say hello to me. I was not scared. They are really cute animals.
Sea World San Diego
 |
Sep 3rd, 2007 - Its Labor Day here in the US and my parents are going to spend the next two days in San Diego. We woke up early and drove to Sea World. It was a nice drive with no traffic and we made it in about 2 hours. Once we got to the park, it was really hot and not much fun but still we enjoyed the day. We saw the following shows
- Pets Rule
- Polar Bears
- Otter and Sea Lion Show
- Penguins
We could not see Shamu. Maybe next time.

There are no magazines or any paper products in the living room where I play. In my latest return to shredding I maanged to get a hold of all the junk mail and shred it to pieces as you all can see. Happy 18th Birthday
 |
15th Aug, 2007 - I turn 18 today. 18 months, not years. I am sure my parents are waiting for me to turn 18 years old. :-( The day started off with a visit to Dr Woo's clinic. I had my checkup done and the doctor said I was doing fine. I am 34 inches tall and weigh almost 26 pounds. He said I am tall for my age and average weight. I thought it was all over but then Nurse Stacy walked in with a box. That box always worries me. Before I knew it, I got two shots. She is good at giving shots and I am good at taking them like a man. I flinched but did not cry this time. Pretty cool huh!! She put some nice boy-bandaids on me and we went home. |
In the afternoon, my mother baked a cake for me. She always bakes a cake for me on every occaision. My mother loves to bake and cook and my father and I love to eat her cooking. In the evening, we cut the cake once my father returned from work and then we went out to dinner.

Trip to Toys 'R Us
 |
12th Aug, 2007 - Time for new toys....well thats what I thought when we entered Toys 'R Us, but my mother wanted to buy books for me. She thinks reading is a good habit and I should get started early but all I see when I see books is, how do I shred them. We searched for the books and finally my mother picked up a couple of books and a few small things for me and left. On the way out, I sat on the Spiderman ride. There was this big man who came and sat on the donkey ride next to me. It looked silly to see a grown man sitting on a children's ride.....Oh well...guess we are all little children at heart.... |
