My first flight on Kingfisher Airlines

Nov 9th, 2006 -  Today I am going to Hyderabad, which is the city where my father's side of the family lives. My great-grandmother, yes great-grandmother, lives there and is longing to see me. My seeing her was one of the biggest reasons we came to India. I was up early at 5 AM and so we were able to go to the airport well in time. My father had booked the tickets on Kingfisher Airlines, which is one of the new low cost airlines in India. My parents were surprised that there was no baggage allowance for babies, but the nice lady waived the excedd baggage fee. The flight was nice and smooth and I seemed to have a good time on the flight. I did not fall asleep and was very excited during the flight.

My grandmother's brother (so technically my grandfather) Kamanu-ajja
had come to receive us at the airport. Their home is very close to the airport
and we reached home in a few minutes. Although my grandmother wanted to see me, she
cannot see me right away because a certain function had to be completed before she can
see me. The function was at 5 PM and we reached at noon, so she and I sat in separate
rooms till the function.
