Aug 2nd, 2006 -  My parents subscribed to this new TV channel called Baby First TV, a new channel specially designed for babies. My parents don't allow me to watch it a lot but occasionally I get to watch it. I have made a few friends on the TV now

• Tec the Tractor -  loves helping out at Family Farm with his friends Tommy the Trailer, Carolyn the Cow and all the farm machines and animals that live with them.
• Sali Mali - Sali Mali and her pet, Jackdaw
• Tizzy, Tog and Toot - the three little mice in the Tick Tock House
• Junglies - The Junglies are a group of young animals that live with their families on Jungle Island.

8th July 2006 - I love to go out of the house, and usually my parents take me out in the evening for a walk or a stroll. I was really surprised when they put me in the car seat just after I woke up and had the first feed of the morning. I get really excited when my parents put me in the car seat. We drove to the new IHOP (International House of Pancakes) on Lincoln Blvd to have breakfast. The IHOP had just new opened and my parents wanted to go have a nice breakfast.

We got a nice booth by the window and I sat there in my car seat looking at the new restaurant. The restaurant was smaller compared to the other IHOPs (at least that's what I heard my dad say).  I had company in the restaurant. There was a small boy in the booth next to me and he kept talking to me and saying "Hello Baby". After breakfast we went to Venice and returned back home. We had to go to the Citadel Outlet later that morning.

9th July 2006 - Its the 9th of July, the World Cup finals were played today.  The game was between France and Italy. It was hard to pick a favorite as both the teams were evenly matched. Italy won the World Cup final on penalties. Italy defeated France 5-3 on Sunday after a 1-1 draw through 120 minutes. The winning penalty of the match came from Fabio Grosso. The second spot kick by David Trezeguet did not materialize into a goal. This was the first penalty shootout in the final since the 1994 World Cup. For Italy, it was the fourth World Cup crown. The Italian team had lifted the crown in 1934, 1938 and 1982.

The most strange incident was Zidane  headbutting into the chest of Marco Materazzi. What a way to retire!!

8th July 2006 - My grandmother is going back next weekend and so we went out for some last minute shopping. The Citadel Outet Mall is in the city of Commerce and has a lot of stores there. They recently opened a number of stores at the onset of summer. They have the usual outlet stores like Nautica, Tommy Hilfiger, Perfumania, Old Navy etc. We spent most of the day at the stores and at the end of the day, we had a trunck full of stuff. 

I also got my first tan. It was a really sunny and hot day and I was wearing this sleveless T-Shirt and I got my first California tan. My tan looks cool Dude!!! 

We missed the 3rd place game between Portugal and Germany

July 4th 2006 - I woke up this 4th of July morning and saw my family watching the Nathan's Hot Dog Eating contest on TV. This is an annual Hot Dog eating contest that has become very popular now because of Takeru Kobayashi, the reigning World Champion.  The Americans have been unable to beat him and they attempt to do so every year but have not succeeded in the last 5 years.

Today's event was a close contest but Kobayashi won the contest with a record setting 53.5 hotdogs in 12 minutes.  Except for the second place winner, the rest were not even in the running. You can read more about him here. For once I was happy to be feeding on milk.

4th July 2006 - Today is the July 4th 2006, Independance Day in the United States. Most people celebrate the day by having a barbeque party and end the day watching some fireworks. Most of the cities and towns around the country have a fireworks show. The city when I live right now, had a fireworks show in the harbor. My parents, grandmother and I walked to the Burton Chase Park behind our apartment. There was a huge crowd of people there to watch the show.

My parents were very happy that they could walk there as parking was a real nightmare. The fireworks show started at 9:00 and ended after about 20 minutes. It was a nice show with lots of different fireworks most of which had the Red, White and Blue color along with the stars to mark the occaision.

July 3rd 2006 - It's  Monday, the 3rd of July and my father has to work. I thought it was a long weekend and we would go out someplace, but I guess we have to stay at home today. What a let down, but then there's tomorrow Independance Day and I am looking forward to the fireworks. I had a pretty relaxing day today, took a long bath, slept for a while, watched some TV and read a book (dont believe me, see the picture below). Don't I look cute in my bathrobe.

I have learnt to lay Peek-A-Boo, I-See-You now and my parents have a lot of fun with me doing that. In our native tongue its called "Kooki Acchi"
